Calvary Food Pantry at Calvary Lutheran Church
Our Story
Formed and operating since May 2022, the Calvary Food Pantry (CFP) has been growing steadily since its inception. Serving around 15 families/individuals in those early days, the CFP has grown steadily, now ministering to 75-100 families each month.
Offerings have expanded from non-perishable items to fresh fruits, vegetables, and other perishable items; dairy, eggs, and meat; and essential household and personal items. Special holiday meals are supplied for Thanksgiving (November), Christmas (December), and Easter, including a main course and fixings. Along with food and other essentials, CFP also supplies backpacks and school supplies in August; coats and other items of warmth from November through February; and year-round, offers men's, women's, and kids clothing, and operates a small "thrift store". All offerings are provided free of charge or obligation. In 2025, CFP's December Pantry expanded to include a special holiday family gathering with special activities and featuring an “Angel Tree Christmas" celebration for Pantry families, their children, and grandchildren. Held annually, this meaningful event honors the memory of the late Bob Chapman III and Bobby Chapman IV. Both were lifetime members of Calvary who devoted decades of service to Calvary’s ministries, demonstrating love, commitment, and outreach. Bob and Bobby served not for their own recognition, but to lift up the name and saving grace of Jesus. Through this event and CFP's mission, we seek to continue shining a light on the Lord they so faithfully served. Upcoming Schedule
